Melissa grew up in Alberta where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree, got married, and worked as an administrative assistant at a private investigation and security firm before moving to Victoria in 2008. With a music degree, a knack for administrative tasks and aptitude for writing grant applications, she quickly found work in Victoria's local music scene at an independent record label. She spent over a decade there supporting the local arts scene and honing her administrative and bookkeeping skills.
Melissa joined the team at Pallan & Associates in 2023 and enjoys the challenge of exploring different strategies to strengthen the organization's effectiveness. She is always looking to learn new skills and appreciates opportunities to put her passion for solution-based problem solving to good use.
In her time outside of work, Melissa is the adoring mother of one son, plays the french horn in two local amateur orchestras, and loves exploring all of the great things Victoria has to offer - from fantastic swimming spots, to world class restaurants and cocktail bars, to an enchanting local arts scene. Her natural administrative capabilities also serve her well as co-owner of the small business that she has been running with her husband since 2014.
